This senior session was one of my favorites, a perfect blend of personality, city vibes, and golden light. We met downtown at the Scioto Mile, where the skyline made the perfect backdrop for his session. Between the reflective river views and the warm sunset glow, the setting was just right for capturing this milestone moment.
He brought along his tuba (how fun is that?) such a unique and personal touch that immediately told his story. I always love when seniors bring something that represents who they are, and for him, music has been a huge part of his high school experience. The golden tones of his instrument popped beautifully against the soft evening light and the clean, modern lines of the bridge.
Later in the session, he switched into a more casual look, his favorite jersey and a backwards hat which totally showed off his relaxed, easygoing personality. Those moments where he laughed and just leaned into being himself are some of my favorites from the day.
And of course, we couldn’t forget his pup! Bringing his dog along added such a fun and heartfelt layer to the session. You could tell how close they are, and those shots together are ones I know he’ll treasure for years to come.
Senior sessions like this one remind me how important it is to capture more than just a portrait, it’s about freezing a moment in time that feels authentically you. Let’s plan your senior session next.
