I pondered a lot about whether or not I wanted to share some of my goals for 2017. Some people may think it’s corny. Others may use this as an excuse to hold me accountable. Either way, I figured, why not share some of my goals so that I can at least have a group of people cheering me on! As I wrap up the summer, there are a few things that I wanted to do this summer that I just didn’t get to, and I want to be intentional about how I spend my time moving forward and into 2017. I’m going to keep these super high level because I don’t want to bore you with the nitty gritty!
1) Host a styled shoot. This one is really exciting for me. Although it seems like a very daunting task, I actually started reaching out to vendors and got a really positive response! Unfortunately the timing didn’t really work out and with my move to Columbus, it had to be post-poned. Plus, this fall my weekends are filled with weddings and mini sessions, so it only makes sense to plan it for 2017. The reason why I want to host a styled shoot is twofold. One, I want to meet, network and interact with other wedding vendors, and this is one of the best ways I know how to do that! Two, I’ll have beautifully styled images for branding purposes that will ultimately help with goal #3 😉
2) I would love to get published, even if it is a smaller local wedding blog. This will help drive traffic to my website, but will also allow me to meet more potential clients and vendors. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get to publish my styled shoot!!
3) I want to book at least 10 weddings of my own next year. So far, I’m almost half way there! I have just been blown away by the inquiries this summer, and I can only pray that they continue at the same rate moving forward. I’m confident that 10 weddings is achievable, so here’s to hoping that happens 🙂
Well friends, either this was really corny or really vulnerable. Either way, I hope that you encourage me along this journey and hold me accountable to making these 2017 goals a reality! Also, I totally get that it is such a random time of year to be setting goals. But better late than never, right??
