As creative entrepreneurs, we sometimes get emails asking for help… some boss ladies get more than others. I’ll have to admit, I’ve been one of those photographers who emailed as many people as possible, and to an extent, I am still one of those photographers. I am always asking questions and seeking to grow in my knowledge of everything this business entails. However, lately more and more people have been reaching out to me and it is seriously SO exciting!
As I’ve grown my business, one of my favorite parts is that I am constantly learning. I have grown exponentially over the last (almost) 2 years and it just blows my mind. I’ve read blog after blog, watched a million webinars and downloaded every free piece of education that I could find from industry leaders. Basically, you can think of me like a sponge (lol). I’ve been in the role of the student for quite some time and the tables are finally starting turn, at least a little bit.
I absolutely LOVE sharing parts of my journey and always jump at the offer to set up coffee dates when fellow photogs ask. That’s part of the reason why I am such an avid blogger. I love sharing my thoughts and love helping other photographers because I wish I knew someone in the industry when I first started. As much as I learned from reading, watching and listening, I learn so much more when I can simply ask someone all of my questions. They can share their heart with me and show me what I need to know.
If you’ve ever felt weary of emailing another photographer your questions, the worst that can happen is that they don’t reply. And come on, is that really that bad?? I’ve been pondering a few ways that I can begin to share my heart with other photographers. Now, I by no means know everything there is to know, but I do feel confident that I have a voice to share! (As should every photographer). I’ve been throwing around a few ideas as to how I can better serve other photographers who are just starting out, but I want to hear from you! What are some ways that you need help? How do you learn best? Any ideas for how I can better serve you? I would love to hear your thoughts! I already have a few things in mind that will kick off soon and I’m so excited. Stay tuned, friends!!
