Lauren and I met in econ class 3 years ago, but it seems like it was yesterday. We quickly bonded over that terrible subject and became close friends. I invited her to bible study, and it turned out that we had a lot more in common than we thought. Lauren quickly became the friend that I could share my heart with and not worry about what she may think. We had weekly coffee dates and were intentional about pointing the other to Christ. As you would imagine, significant others came up way to often, but it was so fun to hear her tell me all about Kyle. They’ve been dating since high school, and she and I would dream about what the future may hold for them someday. We talked about all things marriage and what that could look like for both of us. I have been waiting and waiting for Kyle to finally pop the question, and as soon as he did, my heart was overflowing with joy and excitement for them.
As soon as she got engaged (and sent me pictures of the ring!!), she and I talked about wedding photography. Lauren has been so supportive of my business since the beginning, and for that, I couldn’t be more thankful. Before I was shooting weddings, we would talk about how I could photograph their wedding some day. Little did I know at the time, that this could actually become reality! I am so incredibly excited to be such a special part of Lauren + Kyle’s big day. I can’t wait to love on them more than ever before and serve them with the love of Christ.
For their engagement session, we explored their home town of Minster, Ohio. Kyle is a firefighter, so naturally our first stop was the fire station! We even got to snap a few pictures in front of their new home. It was so much fun for me to see all of the places she’s always talked about. Lauren, I cannot wait for your wedding! I know that you are going to make a beautiful bride, and an amazing wife. I hope that you love these images!
