On New Year’s Eve, Kelsey and Travis not only celebrated the new year, but also a new marriage! These two high school sweethearts were married in our hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Although the day was calling for rain, I didn’t feel a single drop. I prayed (and I’m sure everyone else did, too!) that the rain would miss us, and thankfully it did. There were so many details from the day that were especially meaningful. Everything from Kelsey’s dress to the cross to the twinkle lights; there wasn’t a detail overlooked.
My favorite part of their special day was the ceremony. Kelsey and Travis invited their friends and family to worship with them as they were joined together in marriage. The ceremony was centered around “light,” as Kelsey and Travis bring light into the world through their marriage. There were twinkle lights at the alter and a there was a candle lighting ceremony at the end so that everyone could send the light with Kelsey and Travis as they started their new journey as husband and wife.
The night continued on as we celebrated with the two newlyweds. We partied and danced all night long and rang in the new year on the dance floor. It was so fun to see so many familiar faces. Kelsey and Travis, I hope you felt so incredibly loved on your wedding day. There are so many people who love and support you, and want nothing but the best for you. I love you two and hope that you cherish your wedding gallery for years to come. Enjoy this little peek into my favorites from their big day!!
And that, my friends, was the best ending to 2016 I could have asked for!! Thanks for letting me serve you in such a special way, Kelsey and Travis!
Kelsie! All of these photos are amazing. I would love a copy of the beautiful picture you took of John and I. I was wondering how much you would charge to purchase a copy?
I will message you! <3
