For those of you who know me well, you would know that I am a the world’s worst liar. In fact, I really can’t lie at all because I feel so horribly afterwards!! So, when Taylor started talking to me about his proposal plans, of course I had to keep it a secret! And it was one of my best kept secrets yet. It did come along with a few lies but, sometimes that’s what’s necessary to pull off a big surprise!! The first step in pulling off the proposal was to convince Bethany and Taylor to be my models for a photoshoot. Of course Bethany was all for it. Taylor was the one who needed convincing!
For those of you who don’t know, Bethany and Taylor were the first people that ever graced the front of my camera. As much as they loved those pictures, it was time for an upgrade!! I came up with an elaborate story about how I needed to take their pictures again. Once Taylor “agreed” to take the pictures, we set a time and planned to take their pictures at German Village in Schiller Park, the same place that we took the first round of their pictures. Saturday arrived, and after we picked out their outfits, we were on our way!
We started along a row of beautiful homes, then made our way into the park. We after about 40 minutes of snapping pictures, we ended up in front of the pond. Taylor sneakily pulled the ring box from his coat pocket and shoved it into his pocket. I placed them in the perfect place so that Taylor could pop the question. After a few minutes, Taylor began to get down on one knee and Bethany had absolutely no idea!! Her reaction was priceless!!! I’ve seen cute proposal pictures before, but the joy and excitement in these is too much for words.
Today I’m going to share with you some of my favorites of these two before the proposal, and then you’ll get to see the proposal unfold frame by frame. I know I say this every time, but this is one of my favorite blog yet simply because it’s my sister’s proposal!! Oh I still can’t believe it. Here we go! 🙂
After taking pictures for about 40 minutes all around Schiller Park, we finally made it to the spot that Taylor and I thought would be perfect for the proposal. I placed Taylor conveniently next to Bethany so she wouldn’t see the ring box, and she still had no idea what was about to happen. After a few pictures, I gave Taylor his signal and, well,  you know how the rest of this plays out! Sit back, grab some tissues and enjoy watching their proposal unfold!!
And they are ENGAGED!!!! Finally! ;)I am so incredibly thankful that I was able to play such a special role in the proposal. Taylor custom designed the ring for Bethany and it is absolutely STUNNING! She couldn’t stop staring at it all night, and I can definitely see why!!
Welcome to the family, Taylor!!!
