As I kick off my 2017 wedding season this weekend, I can’t help but be so incredibly grateful for the couples who’ve chosen me to serve them on such an important day. It is a privilege that I certainly do not take lightly. As I start each wedding season, I’d love to share a few goals for areas in which I’d love to grow my business. I’m a firm believer in sharing my goals with you because I know that you will keep me accountable!!
1. Stepping up my details game
One of my favorite things to photograph on a wedding day is all of the beautiful details that you’ve spent so many long hours putting together. These hold some of the precious memories that you’ll want to remember when you look back at your images in a few years, and I really want to photograph them in ways that are going to capture them in all of their beauty. Plus, who doesn’t love photographing all the pretty things!?
2. Bridal Portraits
While I ALWAYS create space in the timeline for bridal portraits, I want to focus a little extra energy on capturing as many beautiful portraits of you as I can. Brides always have this glow about them on their wedding day, and there’s something about their giddy excitement before going to see their groom that captivates my heart every single time. I would love to stretch my creativity when it comes to when and where we do these portraits so that they accurately represent who you are and the emotions you felt on your wedding day.
3. Continue to be intentional
One of my goals for this year in general was to be more intentional about praying for my clients. While that is really important to do in general, I am a 100% believer that a wedding day covered in prayer is the best kind of wedding day! I want to commit to praying specifically for my couples and their wedding days, along with all of the vendors and families involved. If you’re the praying type and we’re working together to serve an amazing couple, come find me before the craziness starts and we can lift each other up in prayer.
So, what are your goals?? I would LOVE to hear them!! Comment below and I’ll be your biggest cheerleader this season and keep you accountable for making progress/staying on track. Happy snapping, friends!
