It feels like Lauren and I have been talking about this day for years, and it was finally here! This past weekend, Lauren and Kyle committed their lives to each other in front of their closest friends and family. The Lord was present all day long, and it was so evident. Almost every day last week, the weather forecast called for a 95-100% chance of rain, all day long. We prayed and prayed and prayed, and the Lord showed up like He always does. In the midst of the weather forecast, he provided a 2-hour break in the rain, um WHAT?! In the midst of torrential down pour, he provided the perfect location for Lauren & Kyle – the firehouse where Kyle works. In the midst of a gloomy day, He provided a joyous celebration for a couple that deserves nothing less.
Almost all of the vendors for their wedding were somehow connected to Lauren and Kyle, which made serving with them that much more special. One of my favorite parts of the day was the anniversary dance, where Lauren’s grandparents were the last couple on the dance floor – 71 years of marriage strong! What a beautiful representation of a healthy marriage for Lauren & Kyle to look up to. Congratulations, you two! I wish you nothing but the best. Thank you for letting me serve you in such a special way!
