There is no better way to describe Autumn & Josh’s wedding day other than pure JOY.  Autumn and Josh planned their Ohio wedding while at a missionary training center in Canada. When Autumn first reached out to me last year, I knew that there was something so special about her. The Lord orchestrated a beautiful story of our paths crossing, and being able to serve these two on this very special day was such an answer to prayer.

From the moment I walked in to the church, I knew that every detail had been intentionally thought through to create a warm, welcoming experience for their guests. Although their guests gathered to celebrate their marriage, they soon found out that they would be celebrating something so much bigger. Autumn & Josh’s wedding day was a beautiful representation of Christ’s marriage with the church. To begin their ceremony, they recorded a video that explained their heart for how they wanted their guests to experience their wedding day. Contrary to today’s culture, the day wasn’t about the beautiful bride (although Autumn looked absolutely STUNNING!), and it wasn’t about the emotional groom either; it was about Christ, and how he loves us, his bride, so, so dearly. There was not a dry eye in the room as the two exchanged written, heartfelt vows with those would hold them accountable standing by their side. Autumn and Josh shared their first kiss, and let’s just say they surprised us all with their first kiss as husband and wife! They have an incredible love for each other that was overflowing as they were smiling from ear to ear throughout the entire day.

When people ask me which weddings are my favorite, I always respond with reminiscing on the ones that heavily incorporated the bride and groom’s personality into the wedding day. Josh and Autumn’s wedding day will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was just one of those days where the gospel was so clearly shared by a couple who longs to make Him the foundation of their marriage. I cannot wait to see how the Lord uses this Christ-centered marriage to glorify His kingdom and to bless others. I, for one, I am feeling truly blessed. It was an honor to photograph such a beautiful day.
