What I love about Columbus is the variety that it offers! One of the things that I offer my clients is an outfit & location consultation. Most of the time they come to me set on a popular location that their friends have used for their senior photos, only to leave the consultation excited about a hidden gem that they didn’t even know existed in Columbus!

That’s what I’m here for, friends. I have photographed all around Columbus over the past few years and am excited to share my top 5 locations that are perfect for senior photos (or any photoshoot, really). Here we go!

Franklin Park Conservatory: I may be biased, but the gardens by the Wells Barn at Franklin Park Conservatory are one of my very favorite places to capture senior portraits! There is so much variety, and the grounds are covered with colorful flowers during the summer. It’s a very manicured garden, but perfect for portraits!

Highbanks Metro Park: If you are looking for a wooded, naturey park, look no further. Highbanks offers so much variety between the woods, the fields and the water access. If you want to frolic in the river and have fun exploring, this is the place for you.

Sharon Woods Metro Park: This has been a super popular location lately, and for good reason! It’s bursting with yellow wildflowers during the summer and has beautiful fields. There’s also a dock overlooking the lake that’s perfect for a carefree girl who doesn’t mind dipping her toes in!

Uptown Westerville: I love how quaint this little town is. There are plenty of textured brick walls and blooming flowers in the summer. It’s perfect for the senior who wants an urban setting without going all the way downtown.

Everal Barn & Homestead: This is perfect for the girl with a rural spirit who wants a rustic feel but doesn’t want to travel outside of the city! Everal Barn has a beautiful white barn overlooking a small pond with willow trees sprinkled throughout. It’s one of my favorite barns in the city.
