Just as Jesus’ life on this earth was destined for purpose, so is yours. Please don’t forget that! It can be so easy to fall into the mindset that the work we are doing isn’t valuable, it’s not impacting people or changing lives.
We often forget that we were given this platform for a reason. God chose to give you your talents and strengths and placed a desire in your heart to use them for good. It’s god-given! John 15:16 says this:
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.“
It’s important to remember that these businesses are not our own. They are God’s and we’ve just been given the opportunity to steward them for the time being. By keeping this perspective, it will allow you to focus on His will for the business, not necessarily your own.
I encourage you to go before Him in prayer, ask Him what his will and desire is for your business. The more time you spend in community with Him, the more aligned your goals and desires will be with His. Ultimately when we’re in sync with the Lord’s plan, this is when He will give us the desires of our hears (because they are His desires, too!).
When you’re having an off day and feel like you’ve lost your purpose, go back and read John 15:16 to remind yourself that He chose you and equipped for this role in your business. Ultimately, he wants you to bear fruit and succeed. Please don’t forget that, friend!
