When the Palmers wanted me to shoot their Miami University Engagement, I was THRILLED for the opportunity. The Palmers are the sweetest couple, and I loved the chance to capture such a beautiful moment in their lives.

I was able to hide off in the distance for the proposal itself. It was so fun to be sneaking around, trying to find a spot where they wouldn’t see me and blow my cover. I managed to capture the raw shock, happiness, and JOY of this beautiful proposal.

This Miami University Engagement session happened underneath Upham Arch. According to Miami, “The Upham Arch is arguably the most famous legend alongside the Miami Merger tradition. If you kiss your true love under the Upham Hall Arch, you will marry and the bond will never be broken.”

Not only does this arch hold a sentimental place in this couple’s hearts, it served for an absolutely stunning backdrop for the beginning of their journeys as husband and wife.

After I was able to shoot the proposal, we were able to walk around Miami and get some more stunning shots!
