As a senior photographer, I pride myself in producing senior photos that honor who my seniors are. I love to highlight their personalities, hobbies, and accomplishments. When Emerson told me he played hockey, I asked if he would be up to capturing some hockey action shots for his senior photos. Emerson agreed, and I am absolutely thrilled that he did. Emerson’s hockey senior photos are some of my favorite to date!

Emerson plays hockey for the New Albany Eagles. His sport was a huge part of his life so far, and we truly wanted to highlight it in this session. I packed up my equipment and traveled to the Battery Hockey Academy in Plain City, Ohio.

As Emerson was gearing up, I was too! I shuffled all of my supplies out onto the ice. Even though there were an abudance of close calls, I managed to keep my balance and not fall on the ice!

Once Emerson was ready, he came out and skated circles around me. Emerson and I had a blast capturing so many hockey action shots. Emerson would come racing towards me and stop just short of me sitting on the ice, camera ready. I was a popsicle by the end of the shoot, but it was worth every chilly second.

I love these high contrast, high impact senior photos. These hockey action shots feel intense, focused, and exciting. I feel honored that I was able to give Emerson senior photographs that capture a sport that he loves so much.
