Family means absolutely everything to me. When my brother asked me to take some family maternity pictures for him and his wife, I was thrilled for the opportunity! Being an aunt is such a great joy and it was an absolute honor to capture the love they already have for their little one. They live in Columbia, TN, so it was time for a road trip!

His wife wore a gorgeous burgundy dress and was absolutely glowing. My brother looked timeless in blue and tan. These colors complemented the variety of beautiful locations we were able to find for pictures and the sun was shining almost as brightly as the smiles of the parents to be.

We started off taking pictures by a brick wall using a variety of different poses. I captured some sweet smooches between the couple. We moved to a different colored brick wall experimenting with different poses throughout. We were also able to move to a different wall and get a couple sweet pictures of the momma to be on her own lovingly holding her pregnant belly. However, perhaps my favorite poses were the ones that we were able to capture with a local building in the back. It allowed me to not only focus on the wonderful parents to be but also the community their little one will soon be joining.

This was such a fun session that allowed me to not only enjoy my brother’s company, but the beautiful backdrops Tennessee had to offer. I loved playing with the variety of locations and lighting.
