I had the opportunity to photograph for Worthington Jewelers for their social media platforms. It was really the cherry on top of my month. 💖 So many gorgeous pieces to photograph for their Valentine’s Day promotions.

When I was deciding on the background I would use for these photos, I knew it had to be clean, yet interesting enough to make the photographs stand out. I also wanted to make sure the jewelry was the focus of the photograph, but I wanted the background to be subtle enough not to detract attention.

It turns out the answer was right in front of me: natural backgrounds. It’s hard to go wrong with natural backgrounds, particularly when the jewelry you are taking pictures of is so high quality. It makes a lot of sense to use natural materials to show off the material in the ring.

I also knew I wanted a pop of color. One of the obvious colors that goes along with love and romance is red, so I figured using the red roses would be a good choice. It worked out perfectly! This made it so easy to take a gorgeous picture of a beautiful ring. Thank you, Worthington Jewelers for making such elegant pieces.
