Two weekends ago, I had the amazing privilege to serve with my home church, Salem Church of God, on Love Does Sunday. When I first started this business a year ago, I knew that I wanted it to serve as a platform for ministry, whether that was through interacting with my clients, sharing my heart on my blog, or posting on social media. When I found out that Salem was organizing another Love Does Sunday, I knew that I wanted to get involved and use the talents that the Lord has given me for something greater. With all of that, I offered free family pictures for families at Fort McKinley Church. Going into the morning, we were expecting about 16 different families. Which if you know anything about photography, that is a lot! But the Lord just blew us away as we photographed more than 45 different family units. How amazing is that!?! Plus, due to the generosity of Salem church members, each family is going to receive a free, framed 5×7 picture to keep. Many of these people had never had their pictures taken professionally before, so seeing their faces light up with joy as I showed them the preview on the back of my camera was such a special treat for me. But I cannot wait to hear how they react when they have a physical copy in their hands!! Ahh I get so excited just thinking about it.
Last Sunday, we had a Love Does celebration during church and I was asked to share about my project. It was so special for me because I just love sharing about my business and the heart behind it. Thankfully, you guys got lucky because there is a recording!! If you don’t want to watch the whole video, you can skip to 10 minutes in and that’s where my interview is 🙂

This is why I love what I do. This is the heart behind my business. As much as I love photographing couples and weddings, this is the good stuff my friends. And I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to make an impact in the Fort McKinley community. I hope you enjoy the personality in these images just as much as they did!!
