There is power in printing your photos. Something about holding them in your hands and seeing them on your walls is just so special. Your photos deserve to be displayed, not locked away on a hard drive or stuck in the mess of your computer!

Anyway, most of my clients walk away from their sessions with the opportunity to print their high-resolution files. Because they purchased the printing rights to the photos, they are now free to print as many photos as they’d like, wherever they’d like.

However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t recommend always printing your photos through your photographer, because I always do. Why? Because I can guarantee that the colors will print accurately!

Commercial labs like Walmart or CVS don’t always print the way that you see the picture on your phone. Often times they are darker, muddier, and the reds are off (or the tint/saturation of another color!). The above photos are a perfect example of this.

The photos in the frames were printed from the professional lab that I love to order all of my prints from. The prints on top were printed from a consumer lab and you can see that they are overall darker, especially the blacks & shadows are darker, and they just look muddy as opposed to the light, bright and colorful edit that they were supposed to be (and that you most likely hired me for! I’ve spent a long time making sure the edits are just perfect on your photos only for them to be destroyed by the printer.

Because you invested in a great photographer, it means that photos are important to you. Especially if you invested in me specifically for my editing style. With such a large investment, I’d hate to see you print photos that don’t look at all like they are supposed to! You might as well go the extra mile and spend a little extra to ensure that the photos that you look at for years to come actually look the way they are supposed to.

I provide all of my clients with the option to purchase photos through their galleries, which I highly recommend. For my senior clients, I will personally order those photos for you! These photos come from a professional lab and are of the highest quality. Because of that, any prints that are purchased through me I’ll guarantee that they print beautifully! If they are less than perfect, I’ll re-order the photos until it’s made right.
