Ask and you shall receive! It’s been almost a year since I posted about my home decor and I’m excited to bring back the “Making A House A Home” blog series.

What I really love about the way I decorated my house is that it’s really easy to customize for each season. I have neutral furniture (tan, white, black) and my statement color all year long is navy. I still love my striped curtains as much as I did when I bought them two years ago! Since moving in, I’ve collected quite the collection of navy velvet furniture, and you’ll see that in today’s post.

I rearranged the furniture a little bit compared to last year, but for the most part it’s the same decor. My favorite additions are my “blessed” pillow and the navy ottoman! My dish chair and ottoman setup is the cozy spot that I spend my quiet time. It’s the perfect spot with the gold reading lamp nearby.
