Graduation season at The Ohio State University is always one of my favorites to photograph. The energy on campus is unmatched. The mix of pride, excitement, and a little bit of disbelief that this chapter is finally coming to an end makes every session feel special.

For this session, we celebrated an incredible milestone for one of OSU’s newest graduates officially earning her law degree from Moritz College of Law. She arrived in full regalia: cap, gown, and the deep purple velvet of her doctoral hood a symbol of the hard work, late nights, and endless dedication that brought her to this moment.

We chose to shoot around campus where the golden evening light filtered through the trees, adding a soft, celebratory glow. The green lawns and classic architecture of OSU made the perfect backdrop, giving her portraits a timeless and authentic feel. Her joyful smile said it all the culmination of years of study, community, and perseverance. She brought some friends along and we made it perfect.

Graduation sessions like this are a wonderful way to pause and honor everything that’s led up to this moment. Whether it’s a solo portrait session or a group of friends celebrating together, these images capture the excitement of what’s next new opportunities, big dreams, and well-earned pride.
