Fall families will forever have my heart… and this session at Rose Run Park is exactly why.

I know we’re inching into spring, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share this one. These colors? Absolutely unreal. The kind of rich, golden tones that make everything feel warm, cozy, and full of life. And when you pair that with a family like this one… it’s magic.

From the moment we started, it was nonstop smiles, giggles, and those in-between moments you can’t plan but always end up being your favorites. This family brought such a fun, easy energy to their session. Nothing felt forced. Just genuine connection, laughter, and being fully present with each other.

Rose Run Park is one of my favorite spots for family sessions, and this is exactly why. It gives us the perfect mix of open space and tucked-away corners. We can move, explore, and find little pockets of beauty everywhere – from tree-lined paths to leaves scattered perfectly across the ground. It creates so much variety without ever needing to rush.

During every family session, I always make sure we capture it all. The full family shots, of course, but also those quiet moments between mom and dad, the playful chaos with the kids, and everything in between. A mix of natural and lightly posed images is where the magic really happens. Because while the “everyone smiling at the camera” photo is important, it’s usually the candid laughs and little interactions that end up meaning the most.
