Some senior sessions are extra special because they capture more than just beautiful portraits. They tell a story about who you are, what you love, and the little things that make you unique. Adrienne’s senior session in Short North and Franklin Park was the perfect combination of creativity, personality, and some seriously fun locations!
Adrienne was the absolute cutest, and I had such a wonderful time photographing her throughout Columbus. We explored two very different locations, found some incredible backdrops, and incorporated her love of art into her senior portraits. The result was a session full of personality, unique details, and images that felt completely like her.
Short North is one of those places that makes you want to keep exploring. Everywhere you turn, there is something interesting to discover, from colorful doors and murals to beautiful architecture and unexpected little corners that make the perfect photo spot.
As we walked around Short North, we found some truly unique places to photograph Adrienne. An orange garage door became one of those fun, unexpected backdrops that added a pop of color and personality to her gallery. We also found incredible art and architectural details throughout the area, giving us plenty of variety without ever having to go far.
One of my favorite things about photographing seniors in an urban setting is how much character the surroundings can bring to the images. Brick walls, interesting textures, colorful details, and architectural lines all help create portraits that feel a little different from the traditional outdoor senior session.
Short North gave us the perfect opportunity to get creative, try different compositions, and let Adrienne’s personality shine. It was so much fun wandering through the neighborhood and finding new spots as we went!
One of the sweetest details of Adrienne’s session was that she brought along her paint and sketchbook! I absolutely love when seniors incorporate their hobbies and interests into their portraits because those personal touches make the images even more meaningful.
Senior photos are such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate who you are during this chapter of life. Maybe you play a sport, play an instrument, spend your free time creating art, or have a hobby you could talk about for hours. Whatever makes you you deserves a place in your senior session!
Adrienne’s paint and sketchbook were such a natural fit for her session. They allowed us to capture a little glimpse into her creative side while adding something personal to her portraits. These details help tell a story that goes beyond a pretty outfit or a beautiful location. They capture a piece of her personality and the things she loves.
As a photographer, these are the kinds of details I love helping seniors incorporate into their sessions. Your senior portraits should feel like a reflection of you, and the little things you bring along can make all the difference.
After exploring Short North, we headed to Franklin Park to discover even more beautiful places for Adrienne’s senior portraits.
One of the best things about combining two locations for a senior session is the variety it creates. Short North gave us colorful urban backdrops, unique artwork, and interesting architecture, while Franklin Park offered a different atmosphere and new opportunities for portraits.
We spent time exploring the park and finding some great places to photograph Adrienne. Changing locations gave us the chance to create a gallery with different looks and moods while keeping her personality at the center of everything.
I love sessions like this because they allow seniors to have a little bit of everything. You can have those fun, modern images in the city and then switch things up with portraits surrounded by the natural beauty of a park. It creates a collection that feels diverse, personal, and timeless.
And with Adrienne being as cute as she was, we had so much fun bringing everything together!
Adrienne’s senior session was such a great reminder that senior portraits don’t have to fit into one particular style. They can be colorful, creative, artistic, natural, or a combination of everything you love.
From the orange garage door in Short North to the beautiful architecture, unique artwork, and the personal touches of her paint and sketchbook, every part of this session helped tell her story. Adding Franklin Park to the mix gave us even more opportunities to create a gallery full of variety.
Adrienne, thank you for letting me capture this exciting season of your life! I loved exploring Columbus with you, finding all these fun locations, and incorporating your creativity into your senior photos. I hope you look back at these images years from now and remember not only how beautiful this season was, but also all the little things that made it uniquely yours.
