My bedroom was one of the last things that I spent time decorating because I did the entire first floor before I even thought about my own space. I wanted my room to be bright and happy. I wanted it to be a relaxing escape filled with my favorite things: bright colors, flowers & words of encouragement.

For those of you who may not know, my dad actually built my headboard, as well as the chest at the base of my bed. I love them! I created the artwork on my nightstands and Cory made the “It all started with a swipe” graphic for our anniversary. One of my favorite corners in the room is my magnet board. It’s filled with love letters and words of encouragement. Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I go over there and read a few notes.

Quite possibly the best part about this room is the mirror. One Saturday in December while I was at a wedding, Cory decided to come over to my house and clean the first floor (we had made a mess of it celebrating Christmas the day before!), and while he was there, he left me all of the sticky notes about characteristics that are true about me in Christ. Cue the tears! It’s one of the sweetest things that anyone has ever done for me. Enjoy taking a look around!
